There is one thing that all students have in common, can you guess what it is? They are poor, I know, poor may be a strong word. Let us say, that all students are tight on money. That is why, in this article I will cover several types of online jobs for students, hopefully this article will be useful to you.
Surveys
The first type of online job for students is surveys. There are numerous survey companies out there that allow students to answer questions. The only problem with this is that you would literally have to fill out hundreds of them if you want to make a few dollars. Another problem is that the average survey takes a few minutes to fill out, as a result you might find that you would make more money working at McDonalds.
Affiliate Marketing
One of the most popular ways for students to earn money online is through the use of affiliate market. However, I would recommend that you do not follow this path way. The first reason is that it may take quite a bit of time for you to understand how to create an effective affiliate marketing campaign. Furthermore, it might take some capital to get you started – that being said, you probably do not have enough start up money.
Play poker online?
I remember reading a study that was able to show that around 90% of people that play poker online are college students. I could not believe that, 90% is quite a lot of students. So should you start playing poker to earn some extra money? My advice is no, the main problem is that it requires start up capital, which you might not have. The second problem is that poker, whether offline or online, still requires a degree of skill and experience. Obviously, there is the risk involved. So yeah, playing poker is not a good idea.
Elance.com
The best place to find online jobs for students is elance.com. If you have not heard of it yet, it is basically an outsourcing website, where companies or individuals outsource tasks to other people, in exchange for cash. The vast majority of tasks are digitally based, for example, web design, graphics etc..
However, there is a rather large market for article writers. That being said, you can earn around $5-10 for every 500 word article that you write about. The faster you can write and the best quality of article that you can produce, the more money that you can make.
The reason I recommend Elance is that there is no start up money required. There is no experience required, if you can write articles or complete the other work listed, then you have a heads up on the competition. The only difficult is winning the products, the majority of people on elance might try and under-cut you on price. That being said, I would recommend that you give it a try.
In short, there really is not that many online jobs for students available so you might want to try surveys for money.
